I am absolutely hooked on tailored clothes – the process of choosing the fabrics, designing the outfit, picking out accessories and bringing the whole look together brings so much joy and excitement.
After the beautiful co-ord set and the Belle dress, I decided to design a few outfits which are more wearable and perfect for those casual days.
This ethnic gown is my go-to for family celebrations or casual coffee dates with friends. The two prints complement each other beautifully and the georgette fabric gives the outfit the perfect A-line flow.
The one thing I always keep in mind when designing such outfits is to ensure not to pick two dark colors together. A light and dark color truly shows the design of the outfit. Another trick is to not mix two similar prints. If one print has bigger block, go for a more toned-down print for the second one.
Capes and shrugs have been trending for quite some time now. I’ve been looking for a casual, ethnic/indo-western cape but nothing really stood out to me. That’s when I came across this beautiful Dabu print fabric. I added a multi-colored lace to brighten up the cape. This outfit is perfect for a Sunday outing or for going out for brunch with friends.
Another way to wear this cape if you are in college or for a more causal look is to pair it with your favorite blue jeans and a simple white T-shirt. You can add sneakers or heels or even a pair of mules.
As I write this, I am already thinking of what to design next! I would love to know your thoughts about tailored clothes in the comments :)
